Beech Kitchen |
This Kitchen was commissioned in September 2005 and is built out of some of the finest Scottish beech from Falkirk Wood. Seemingly a rather overlooked timber it is a beautiful warm colour and some of the wood used here has a fantastic ripple that catches the light like a jewel. A large airy room created after the client had the wall between kitchen and dinning room removed. The existing kitchen door has now become a window allowing secondary light into the hall. An L shaped peninsular is use to divide the rooms and the sink is hidden by a low glass screen the frame of which became a handy shelf. Slate tops have been used around the aga and another slate was framed into the worktop for hot pans. We even built a window seat with cupboard space underneath. |
